We were out the whole day. So tired I just opened a tin of our favorite Russian brand corned beef. Here’s a photo before it was lightly heated with onion rings and ringlets of onion spring. Ain’t the picture great? …

Server problem is gone (Whew!). Back to normal way of blogging though I kinda like what I did with my last post. I think I’d do it again for the recipes next time. Hmmmm…. I used to sulk for not finding a can of corned beef here in Beijing but lo! The neighborhood Russian store always saves my day. I took the liberty to go through the canned goods section and found this can shown below. I couldn’t read a character but that cow logo somehow made me think it’s gotta be corned beef.
What else am I going to miss? Corned beef. When Ate (my sis) was here autumn last year, I told her we couldn’t find corned beef in Beijing so she gave me some in packets to bring back here. Now we’ve finished the last packet. Sobs! On the other hand, one can always prepare his/her corned beef. I may do that some other time… What is it about Philippine brand corned beef? Purefoods, swifts, argentina, even rodeo (do we still have it?), you name it. They’re really great especially the chunky ones (or I just miss the taste of it). …
