recipe eBooks

It has always been ISKAndals.com’s tradition to share few published recipes free for download in PDF format on its blog’s anniversary. I just thought compiling them in a single page is a great idea. So here goes.

Quite simple. You may download each compilation or one by one by clicking the links below to open a bigger file, then save image to your computer. They are A4 printable size.

I cook and I forget the little details so I write them down. That’s how it goes. But clearly it has meant much more than that.

Most of the recipes I’ve posted are about simple home-style cooking but every time a reader writes me about how great a recipe is from this blog – of course after being kitchen-tested – I feel great. I even get requests from time to time. There are also those who write to share their own tricks that I do appreciate very much…

Not much and not that special but I do hope they would be helpful.

After 4 years of food blogging, I felt it’s time for a blogoversary blowout. For the first time, ISKAndals.com celebrated this blog’s birthday with its readers. I chose the subject of comfort food and our choices vary, all very interesting and with such diversity. It was about what soothes us during tough and trying times, or makes us feel good after a hard day’s work, or simply the craving synonymous with rainy days that make us reminisce on days long gone.

My theme, seems to be the perfect one for me after all these years… Futurosity Aperio by Robert Ellis.

Unlike making sequel of movies where most of the time they’re never as good as the original, I quite like the last set I’ve done. Not because the cooking is better but because my photography gets a little better. Tee hee! I have also spent more time on the graphics.

My favorite theme I used for more than a year, Foliage Mod by Derek Punzalan.

Just before year 2 ended, I had this baby with macro settings; still the fire-and-forget kind of camera but sure captures the details.

Year 2 also marks the time when I discovered and fell in love with Foliage Mod. I used the original theme colors then; yet to be ISKandalized as above. Just months before that, it was the beautiful Merdeka theme by Ikram Zidane.

After a 4-year hiatus from cooking, I went back to cooking and started food blogging as my way of keeping records; my old yet efficient Kodak camera helped me through my first year.

Looking back, my favorite theme then was White as Milk by Azeem Azeez – obviously for its minimalist and clean look perfect for photo blogging.
