I steamed quite a large piece of fish in soy sauce yesterday and still have some leftover that I decided to make fish balls. Here’s the recipe…
Left-over cooked fish, deboned and flaked
2 tbsp of minced onion
1 tbsp of minced garlic
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup fine bread crumbs
salt and pepperCombine all the above ingredients in a saucepan and mix well. Shape into balls and chill.
Heat oil and fry several balls at a time until browned. Drain on paper towels and serve with ketchup, tabasco or sweet and sour sauce.
By the way, this is my steamed fish served with broccolis and you can find the recipe here. The broccolis were steamed in a different container and a much shorter period of time.
